Visit pousad<\/span><\/span>as, <\/strong>these are human-sized inns, typical of Tropical Brazil, and you know what? It’s a bit like our Bed and Breakfasts in France. From rustic to luxury, there’s something to suit every taste and budget. I’ve put together a small selection of the pousadas I was able to try out during our trip.<\/p>\r\n<\/blockquote>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you haven’t yet read our article on our buggy stages in the Nordeste<\/a><\/strong><\/span>, I’ll give you a quick rundown of our journey: beaches, dunes, forest, mangroves and picturesque villages. That’s what was in store for us, adventure in buggy<\/strong> and discovery. It was an opportunity to discover a destination through its trails, marvelling at its natural riches and local traditions. Each evening, we had a different stopover at a different pousada.<\/p>\r\n

A Cumbuco<\/strong>, in the pousada Golfinho<\/strong><\/span><\/a>, I particularly enjoyed being by the sea, with my feet practically in the sand. Breakfast is local, hearty and varied. There’s a lovely view of the pool and the terraces of the little cottages. On the Canoa Quebrada<\/strong>, the pousada Vale Do Luar<\/strong><\/span><\/a> is conveniently located just off Broadway Avenue. Rather practical when you want to dine and party in the evening. The garden is beautifully decorated with flowers, and the swimming pool with bar nearby is a real bonus. A family-friendly address!<\/p>\r\n
