horseback,<strong> the El Lim\u00f3n waterfall<\/strong>. The path to get there, both rocky and mountainous, is superb. The dense flora, populated by coconut palms and tropical plants, creates a verdant landscape where birds sing at the top of their voices. All you can hear are the sounds of the forest and streams. Once there, the waterfall is impressive in its noise and height. It&#8217;s the ideal place to take a dip and cool off in the emerald water. On your return, you will have a local lunch at the restaurant <b>la Manzana stop.<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text el_class=&#8221;.citation-bis&#8221;]\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">To avoid the horde of local and international tourists, get there <strong>as soon as possible<\/strong> to take full advantage of this peaceful place (which is no longer hidden and little-known).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Allow <strong style=\"color: #000000;\">30 minutes for walking<\/strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"> on an easy trail (yes, there are a few climbs) and a 20-25 minute ride. Only use the horse if the path is muddy and slippery, or if you have back or knee problems when hiking, as it&#8217;s much more fun to take photos on This reserve, rich in flora and fauna, is one of the unspoilt jewels of the Samana peninsula. boas, reptiles, dolphins, sea turtles, fishing birds, frigate birds, parrots, pelicans and even a pair of manatees, also known as dugongs (you have to be very lucky to see them). For over three hours, we cruised around the small islets by speedboat, as well as the many mangrove trees that form the mangroves. Time has stopped here! I wasn&#8217;t disappointed, because it&#8217;s a REAL local and nature outing between the sea and the mountains, lasting a whole half day. I have fond memories of this trip, as we ventured into the Dominican countryside around Agua Sabrosa y el Lim\u00f3n to meet the locals and discover their know-how. We took rocky paths, crossed rivers, drove on tracks and beaches like Lanza del Norte. It was also an opportunity to meet a lovely Dominican family, small-scale producers of coffee, cocoa, vanilla and honey, who kindly opened the doors of their beautiful home to us. It&#8217;s a time to taste (and without obligation to buy) local products and talk with them. Nothing is overdone, everything seems natural and sincere!<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">This tour is suitable for everyone, families and even beginners who have never been on a quad before.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The smiling locals love to be photographed (especially the children), so make the most of it!<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Bring back small souvenirs like handicrafts made by the family but also coffee, cocoa and the local alcohol the <strong>Homemade Mamajuana<\/strong>! The choice is yours!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The village of las Terrenas is home to a multitude of small bars and restaurants on the beach, in the water or on the seafront. The prawns were succulent and the dish quite hearty. For seafood \u00e0 la plancha and grilled fish, come to <strong>at Luis<\/strong>, the ultra-popular institution of playa Coson or <strong>at Val\u00e9rio&#8217;s<\/strong>, a very good, less crowded straw hut. There&#8217;s one restaurant I&#8217;d have loved to try out, but lack of time meant I couldn&#8217;t, and that&#8217;s the <a href=\"https:\/\/gosamana.com\/fr\/comerbien\/el-monte-azul\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Loma Monte Azul<\/span><\/strong><\/a>, de las Galeras on a cliffside!
